Village of Tickfaw Proposition
Shall the Village of Tickfaw, State of Louisiana (the "Village") be authorized to renew the levy and collection of a one percent (1%) sales and use tax (the "Tax") (an estimated $83,400 is reasonably expected to be collected from the levy of the Tax for an entire year), commencing January 1, 2018, and annually thereafter, in perpetuity, and shall one-half (1/2) of the proceeds of the Tax be used for the purpose of constructing, improving and maintaining streets and drainage facilities in the Village, including the overlaying of streets, and shall one-half (1/2) of the proceeds of the Tax be used for the purpose of constructing and acquiring sewers and sewerage disposal works, and constructing and acquiring waterworks systems and improvements within and for the Village, including the necessary sites, rights-of-way, machinery and equipment in connection therewith, and to provide funds to pay the operation and maintenance costs and expenses in connection with the foregoing; and shall the Village be further authorized to fund proceeds of the Tax into bonds from time to time to the extent and in the manner permitted by the laws of Louisiana?
