Lakewood Crime Prevention and Improvement District Proposition
Shall the City of New Orleans renew the levy of the Lakewood Crime Prevention and Improvement District's ("District") annual Parcel Fee, not to exceed four hundred fifty dollars ($450) per year on each parcel located within the District, which is that area of the City of New Orleans as specified in Resolution R-17-625 of the New Orleans City Council, for a period of eight (8) years, commencing January 1, 2019 and ending December 31, 2026, which fee is estimated to generate approximately $196,650.00 annually, to be used to aid in crime prevention by providing security for District residents and to serve the needs of the residents of the District by funding beautification and other activities and improvements for the overall betterment of the District, such security services to be supplemental to and not in lieu of personnel and services provided in the District by the New Orleans Police Department?
