Lake Bullard Neighborhood Improvement District Proposition
Shall the City of New Orleans impose a fee upon each improved parcel of land in the Lake Bullard Neighborhood Improvement District (District), which is comprised of that area of the City of New Orleans within the following boundaries: Bullard Avenue, Dwyer Road, Berg Canal, and Lake Forest Boulevard, not to exceed three hundred fifty dollars ($350) for a period of eight (8) years, beginning January 1, 2019 and ending December 31, 2026, which fee is estimated to generate approximately $98,000 annually, to be used solely and exclusively for promoting and encouraging the beautification, security, and overall betterment of the District as determined and managed by the Board of Commissioners of the District, except a 1% City collection fee, which additional security shall be supplemental to and not in lieu of personnel and services provided by the New Orleans Police Department?
