Parishwide School Board Proposition
(Sales Tax Renewal)
Shall the Parish School Board of the Parish of West Feliciana, State of Louisiana (the "Parish School Board"), be authorized to continue to levy and collect a tax of one-half of one percent (1/2%) (the "Tax") upon the sale at retail, the use, the lease or rental, the consumption and the storage for use or consumption, of tangible personal property and upon the sale of services in the Parish of West Feliciana, State of Louisiana (the "Parish"), all as defined by law (an estimated $1,300,000 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the Tax for an entire year), for a period of 10 years, commencing July 1, 2022, with the avails or proceeds of the Tax to be used to acquire, improve, maintain, operate and support the public elementary and secondary schools within West Feliciana Parish and for any other School Board purposes, including funding new state and federal mandates required to comply with law?
