Road Lighting District No. 1 Proposition
(Tax Renewal)
Shall Road Lighting District No. 1 of the Parish of Ascension, State of Louisiana (the "District"), under the provisions of Article VI, Section 32 of the Constitution of the State of Louisiana of 1974, as amended, La. R.S. 48:1308 and other constitutional and statutory authority supplemental thereto, be authorized to renew the levy and collection of a tax of five (5) mills (an estimated $49,500.00 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the tax for an entire year) of assessed valuation on all property subject to taxation in said District, for an additional period of two (2) years, commencing with the year 2023 and ending with the year 2024, for the purpose of providing and maintaining electric lights on the streets, roads, highways, alleys and public places in said Road Lighting District?
