Sample Ballot
This is a sample ballot provided as a convenience to voters to mark and print in preparation for voting. It is not an official ballot,
and the Secretary of State's Office does not store or track selections made on the ballot details screen. Disqualified candidates may
not be displayed on the sample ballot.
The sample ballot(s) below are provided to help you prepare for voting.
Information on Closed Party Primary Races
Voters who are registered as Democrat or Republican can only participate in their party's primary. Voters who are not affiliated with any party (No Party) can choose to
participate in the Democratic or Republican party primaries, but not both. If a voter is registered as affiliated with any other party, they cannot participate in closed
party primaries and will receive a ballot without the Democratic or Republican closed primary races on it.
If you are registered as NO PARTY, meaning you are not affiliated with any political party, you may see up to three sample ballots:
- The Democratic closed party primary ballot;
- The Republican closed party primary ballot; or
- A ballot without the Democratic or Republican closed primary races on it.
These are provided to help you decide which ballot you will select prior to voting. You will make your decision when you vote in person or when you request an absentee ballot.

IMPORTANT NOTE for No Party voters: If you choose to receive a Democratic or Republican ballot for a first party primary, you will receive the same party ballot in the second
party primary, if any. If you choose NOT to receive a ballot with a closed party primary on it, you will receive a ballot for all other candidate or proposition races for which
you are eligible, if any. However, during the fall general election, you may vote for any candidate, regardless of party affiliation.
